Dr. Wade, a distinguished ophthalmologist, graduated as the top student from Baylor College of Medicine, receiving accolades such as the Michael DeBakey Scholar Award and membership in the exclusive Alpha Omega Alpha fraternity. He later served as chief resident during his ophthalmology residency at Baylor and completed a prestigious retinal disease and surgery fellowship at Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute.

Co-founding Eye Center of Texas upon returning to Houston, Dr. Wade has pioneered various advanced eye care treatments, including being one of the first in the United States to offer bladeless cataract surgery. Renowned for his expertise, he has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 LASIK Surgeons in the United States” by VISX and is a leading practitioner in corneal cross-linking and EVO ICLs. Known as “The Eye Doctor’s Doctor,” Dr. Wade is a sought-after specialist, receiving referrals from over 375 Houston-area eye doctors. Apart from his clinical practice, he shares his knowledge internationally through lectures and has contributed to numerous publications.
